inspired by the Lines & Shapes Connect Us publication Sundays Are For Lovers 1, i am accepting the invitation – located inside the front cover – to answer the set of questions that all the featured artists answered.

i invite you to play along too.

questions are in bold.  here we go…

My home-base is currently London, England, though i still consider New Zealand my home

Day to day I work as much as i can on learning more about myself and the world

If I didn’t do this I would probably already be dead

Next year I will travel to some more countries that I’ve not visited yet

To me Sunday means sleeping in with Nic

And I like to eat something that someone else has made, preferably somewhere we’ve not been before

And I will get out of bed if the sun is shining and there are places to go

And get dressed around the time I am ready to leave the house

And I will smile about everything that is good and right in my life

And I just may daydream about a home by the sea

And when Monday comes i will tīmata anō (begin again)

    * My home-base is Santa Monica, California.
    * Day to day I work on trying to live a mindful, meaningful life steeped in gratitude.
    * If I didn’t do this I could make a killing as a professional organizer.
    * Next year I will travel a lot less than usual because we are about to adopt a puppy.
    * To me Sunday means the big LA Times crossword puzzle.
    * And I like to eat BACON.
    * And I will get out of bed earlier than I think I ought to on a Sunday.
    * And get dressed at some point.
    * And I will smile about how unbelievably magnificent my life is.
    * And I just may daydream about selling everything I own and hitting the road.
    * And when Monday comes I will head back to the studio.

My home-base is Carrara, Gold Coast Queensland – a place of 300 days of sunshine – something that constantly keeps me on the level as I gradually lose my confidence and become depressed in cloudy grey weather unless I have fascinating things to do outside that keep my mind off the weather.

Day to day I work together with my husband serving customers and helping to fix their vehicles to keep them on the road and sell them tickets to theme parks where they will go to have fun, laugh and smile. I also try to squeeze in some time to graphically design whatever we need for the business and things I am inspired to create.

If I didn’t do this I would probably lack confidence and generally be very unhappy

Next year I will help someone travel to visit me in the sun or i’ll visit someone else who has the sun with them

To me Sunday means a chance to be free to dream or relax or walk or explore or go to the markets and buy salmon to BBQ or paint or think up something to paint.

And I like to eat something somewhere then go home and remake it with less sugar and butter and more flavour.

And I will get out of bed early and loaf all day or take a walk on the beach in the sun and then have bircher muesli with grated fresh apple, yoghurt and fresh berries at my favourite beachside cafe while dreamily reading the weekend paper and thinking of my inspiring sister in a faraway land I would love to revisit

And get dressed in a bright scarf and my new leather jacket

And I will smile about all the great ideas I have and the beautiful birds that fly by or the jokes the kookaburras tell

And I just may daydream about a tiny studio where I can go and quietly paint the view on a matchbox or a bunch of flowers in watercolour

And when Monday comes i will smile because I can do it again but with many little changes to keep it fresh and exciting for another week
