if it makes you happy, it's not a waste of time

thoughts on happiness and shirin-yoku (forest bathing) whilst out for a walk
if it makes you happy, it's not a waste of time
a walk in the forest, levin, new zealand.

because you will look back at that time from a few years in the future and the broken hearts that came after it still made it worth it and you’d do it all again + because time is an illusion anyway and why would we use this to measure happiness + because happy looks good on you + because you’re more likely to be in the now than the past or the future + because, when we have such a small whisper of time on this planet, don’t add it to your list of regrets.

Shinrin-yoku is a term that means “taking in the forest atmosphere” or “forest bathing in Japan. I love this way of describing a walk in the forest.
