Our island hideaway: tuis, kingfishers, a grey warbler, milo purring, air jets moving water around the spa, the occasional breath of wind stirring the trees, the pump that brings water to our kitchen + bathroom + laundry, the distant sounds of a sports game in progress, a firecracker. I loathe firecrackers for the terror they cause.

A new (to us) hideaway that is definitely on our must visit list.

Prosecco and supper outside. Two more things to be grateful for.
