currently nic and i have the luxury of having two cars as we bought a new (electric) one and have yet to sell our old one. we used this to our advantage today – parking one at one end of a walk we wanted to do, and one at the other.
we did a part of waiheke’s te ara hura network of tracks that i’ve neither walked nor run before. so this filled in a gap for me.
we started the walk near passage rock winery, the track wandering gently uphill through loads of beautiful native bush before popping us out at the top of puke ō kai above poderi crisci. we stopped at the top, finishing up the last of the mince pies that nic’s mum made for us, and to enjoy the view before sliding down the steep track to the finish.
