it was all a thrill

1 // waiheke island weather report: today smells like love. and sunshine before the storm

2 // this day has been full of small miracles and little thrills – like:

• the resilience of plants
• watching a crab feasting on the seaweed of a rock pool
• scraping, sanding & oiling our dining table – from dull dark brown to the colour of honey
• sanding & painting the dining table base white. it looks proper modern rustic now
• a little bit of sunburn
• finding enough food in the fridge to make lunch without having to go out
• home-made pizza dough = home-made pizza for dinner. complete with sparkling red italian wine
• a new pile of library books for curling up on the sofa tomorrow when the rain comes
