nothing much happened (20)

(observational notes of exquisitely ordinary moments)

something beautiful

the morning light was wondrous to behold today

something new

I did a Pilates class for the first time in about six years this evening. 45 minutes of movement, each motion seemingly benign as an individual component. I know it will wreak havoc with parts of my body that haven’t moved in that pattern for some time though, and expect my body to be communicating with me via some long-neglected language for the next few days.

something to consider

perhaps we are all immigrants
trading one home for another
first we leave the womb for air
then the suburbs for the filthy city
in search of a better life
some of us just happen to leave entire countries
